This special event for the local actors in the Danube Region would be an opening congress of the 3rd Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (that will take place on the 26th June 2014 in Vienna) and the closing event of the River Show - Democracy, Self-Government and Citizens participation in the Danube Region. The conference Local Actors and Participation in the Danube Strategy is jointly organized by the Foster Europe Foundation for strong European Regions, the Danube Civil Society Forum and the PA10.
After welcome speeches by exalted politics and academics in the early afternoon face-to-face plenum rounds will follow. The plenum sessions divided along 4 main fields: public administration, civil society, youth and culture, will provide the possibility for the participants to raise particularly important and specific issues and discuss them with each other and with high-ranking assignees. In the early evening, we would like to offer an opportunity for introducing best practices projects in a form of an open and interactive marketplace. Detailed program and registration will be accessible in the early spring 2014.
